ABS Event Solutions Greening Efforts
Both the ABS Event Solutions warehouse and the Colorado Convention Center offices are committed to being green and utilizing other companies products and services that are also like-minded in helping to conserve our planets resources. To that end, following are some of the daily practices that we’ve incorporated in our overall business model.
- The Aurora Warehouse is 100% Wind Powered and certified (see below).
- We print on only recycled paper products in all offices.
- The Business Center prints and sells all event, exhibitor and meeting promotional materials on recycled paper.
- All offices use energy efficient lighting.
- All offices recycle cans, plastics, and paper.
- We each individually use washable, reusable eating utensils and tableware.
100% Wind Energy
The Green-e Energy™ Program certifies that Wind source meets the environmental and consumer protection standards established by the non-profit Center for Resource Solutions. The energy that supplies Wind source is 100 percent wind energy generated or purchased from Colorado wind farms. A total of 77 wind turbines located at the Ponnequin and Wind Peetz Table wind farms currently supply the wind energy. The electricity is added to the Xcel Energy system for use across our service area in Colorado.
